The ORA System with VerifEye+ Technology allows our surgeons to provide the most accuracy and precision possible for our cataract surgery patients.
During the procedure, cloudy lens is removed from the eye through a small incision and replaced with an intraocular lens (IOL) of a predetermined power. This power is typically determined through measurements taken in the office. By using the ORA System with VerifEye+ Technology, our doctors can verify these measurements in the operating room after the cataract has been removed. The ORA System takes approximately 40 measurements in just a matter of seconds and tells the doctor in real time what IOL power to place inside the eye.
This is especially helpful for patients who have had previous refractive surgery, such as LASIK or Refractive Keratotomy (RK). The ORA System also gives detailed information about astigmatism. These measurements help our surgeons to provide the most accurate results possible to ultimately reduce dependence on glasses and contacts for our cataract surgery patients.
